15,000 CCTVs in Delhi for US President, why not for Indians ?

The Delhi High Court rebuked the government and Delhi Police for swiftly agreeing to install 15,000 CCTV cameras to secure the capital for US President Barack Obama's visit, but delaying several court orders directing them to increase the number of CCTVs across Delhi. The Bench said "You do it for a foreign President, but when it comes to Indian citizens, you backpedal or sit on directions given to you for the protection of the Delhi community." The Court's observations were made when amicus curiae Meera Bhatia who was appointed to monitor progress in making Delhi safer for women following the Nirbhaya gang rape, informed the Court that Delhi is to get 15,000 extra CCTVs during Obama's visit.
