24th accused in Vyapam scam mysteriously dies in Indore

65t41iz3Narendra Singh Tomar, 30, an accused in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), scam died under mysterious circumstances.  24 accused and witnesses in the case have died so far.

Tomar a veterinarian, complained of chest pain and was rushed to hospital where he died.

He is an accused in the pre-medical test conducted by the MPPEB in 2009 and was in Indore district jail since February this year.  He was said to have arranged for impostors who wrote the papers in place of the genuine aspirants.

Tomar’s brother Vikram alleged his brother was murdered inside the prison to cover up the crimes committed by others. He demanded a CBI probe into Tomar’s death.

Though the exact cause of death was not ascertained a case was registered and a magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
