According to a report by Pew Research, estimated figures of the year 2012 show that some 450,000 unauthorised Indian immigrants live in the US, constituting 4 percent of the total illegal immigrants living in the US. Of these the largest number of unauthorised Indian immigrants are in New Hampshire. Indian illegal immigrants also comprise Indiana's second largest population, followed by Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington. Other illegal immigrants in large numbers are from China, the Philippines, South Korea, the Dominican Republic and Colombia. The overall number of unauthorised immigrants living in the US remains at 11.2 million, in the year 2012. There was a considerable decline in the number of illegal immigrants from Mexico between 2009 and 2012.
