Air India wins Environment Health and Safety Award

INTERairindiaAir India has won the National Environment Health and Safety Award 2015 that was instituted by the World Quality Congress and World Sustainability Forum. The airline won for its contribution in reducing carbon emissions.

Air India is the first airline in India to establish an environment policy and follow an Environment Management System (EMS) that is responsible for maintaining data and information pertaining to fuel consumption, carbon emissions, energy demand and other measures.

Congratulating the employees for the accolade CMD of Air India Ashwani Lohani said the award is a positive affirmation of the continuous efforts made by the airline to protect the environment.
