Another custodial death – man age 50 dies of 'heart attack'

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the death of Nawab Qureshi, 50, who died while in police custody in Budhana town in Muzaffarnagar. One police official said Qureshi, who was wanted in a case was arrested, but he died of heart failure while in police custody. After Qureshi died irate public protested and gheraoed the police station, demanding action against the police. Earlier five police officers including the SHO of Budhana police station were booked for Qureshi's death.
