Australian government awards 60 scholarships to Indians

The Australian government has awarded 60 scholarships to Indian scholars for study and research, the earlier number was 40 scholarships. Australian High Commissioner Patrick Suckling congratulated the recipients of the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships, saying the fact that 60 Indians were selected for the award this time is a testament to the talents of the country. The Scholarships facilitate sharing and strengthen mutual understanding between Indian and Australian scholars and build international networks. Awardees will undertake study or research at vocational, postgraduate, and post doctoral levels or undertake professional development at some of Australia's most prestigious universities. The scholarships for the year 2015 have been awarded to a total of 528 international students, and 154 to Australians, three of whom will be travelling to India in 2015.
