Canadian NRI awarded for strengthening bilateral ties

lcx2tie4The vice-president of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce was among 11 Indo-Canadians who received ‘ICCC Annual Awards 2015’ for strengthening bilateral ties between India and Canada and contributing to the economy.

The others include Nisha Agnihotri, Prashant Pathak, Neeru Gupta, Manjul Bhargava, Hargudeep Singh, Avish Sood, Rajiv Manucha, Asim Ghosh, Jag Parmar and Venkatesh Mannar who were congratulated by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Governor General David Johnston, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and India’s High Commissioner to Canada Vishnu Prakash.

Each award that carries a trophy and citation, was presented by Toronto major John Tory and DP Jain president of the Indo-Canada Chambers of Commerce (ICCC) a non-profit, non-partisan organisation that was founded in 1977 to promote bilateral, social, cultural and economic ties between the two countries..
