Delhi girl thrown from speeding train after rape attempt

A girl who is a resident of Kanpur and worked in Delhi, was thrown from a Malwa express train after a failed rape attempt. She was found unconscious near the rail tracks 25 km away from the Beena railway station in Sagar District. One of the victim's family claimed she was sexually harassed by two men who took her belongings and pushed her off the train. Her jewellery and luggage were also missing. The Beena railway police who say they do not have information about a rape attempt, also say the victim was travelling to Ujjain to visit the Mahakal temple. She was unconscious when she was found and until her statement is recorded they cannot endorse the allegation of rape. Her parents were already in Ujjain and waiting for her. She sustained serious injuries on her face and body.
