She consulted her ‘Baba’ for their marriage, pregnancy, planning for a child and more. When the husband took exception to the ‘obsession’, the wife returned to India destroying five years of their married life, and she filed a harassment complaint and even got a ‘look-out-notice issued against him.
It all started in 2011 when the couple married and left for the US thereafter. She returned to India and lodged a complaint alleging that the man was already married and was fighting a divorce case in the US.
In his present anticipatory bail the man said prior to his marriage he had registered a marriage to another person in the US, but obtained a decree of nullity in the US, and his wife at the time was informed. She lodged the complaint and when his family tried to redress the issue she demanded Rs.2 crore as settlement.
The husband says all the trouble started because of her obsessive devotion and even intimacy with the godman who was consulted on everything. He was wiling to pay a reasonable compensation as he felt that ending the relationship as husband and wife would be good for both parties.
The Judge granted conditional anticipatory bail to the man and said he must appear before the Guindy police on September 6, and the police must withdraw the look-out notice. Permitting the man to travel abroad only for employment purposes, the Justice said he must disclose his schedule to the magistrate in Saidapet 4 days prior to his departure.
