Gujarat police book dead man for rioting !

The Gujarat Police have booked one Ismail Abdul Vohra, after some witnesses named him and 30 others for rioting in Anand on October 7. Ismail in fact died a natural death 12 years ago, and social worker Javed Vohra said it seems local people overlooked this aspect and named him in the FIR. The sub-inspector who wrote Ismail's name in the FIR based on the complaint of Rakesh Patel, secretary of a local milk cooperative, said the name was entered by mistake and it is now up to the court to take further action in the matter. The dead man was booked for unlawful assembly, rioting armed with deadly weapons and looting with intention to cause death.
