Gurdwara vandalised in Australia

A multi-million dollar newly built gurdwara in Perth was vandalised and painted with obscene messages by miscreants who are believed to have confused the Sikh religion with Islam. Security cameras were also damaged. Aman Deep Singh, treasurer of the Sikh shrine said the attack was hurtful, and requested people to differentiate between Arabs and Sikhs. Sikhs are from Punjab and have no relation with other religions. The attackers did much damage not just to the temple, but to the whole country. Labour MP Margaret Quirk said the racial slurs demonstrate complete ignorance, as most of the people that worship in the temple are Australian citizens, and it was particularly shocking as the incident occurred just days after two Perth mosques and an Islamic school were vandalised and painted with slogans.
