Hindu Mahasabha leader arrested for harassing flight crew

THESEssA leader of Hindu Mahasabha and two lawyers, who allegedly were drunk, have been arrested on charges of harassing the crew and passengers of a Chennai bound flight before take off from Coimbatore.

The men, Senthel Kumar, Raja, and Subhash Swaminathan the Vice President of Akhil Bharat HIndu Mahasabha’ Tamil Nadu unit were remanded in judicial custody by a court.

Reports say they boarded an Indigo flight and before the plane took off one of the three men who are all lawyers, allegedly took a picture of a stewardess on his mobile phone to which she objected. Other passengers also protested and later the pilot stepped in and asked the men to behave. Finally the matter was reported to the airport authorities who alerted the police. The three inebriated lawyers were detained by CISF personnel and taken to a police station and arrested after questioning.

An FIR was filed against the lawyers who were produced in a magistrate court and they were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
