The killer Nathan Desai was wearing military type clothes with Nazi symbols during the 20 minute shooting spree where he fired at passing cars. All the victims survived but one person was critically injured and 5 others were hospitalised, said Houston’s Police Chief. Martha Montavo, who also described the shooter as a lawyer who was having problems with his law firm.
When police tried to subdue him, he shot at them and he was killed when the police returned fire.
Desai’s father, a retired geologist, Prakash Desai, 80, said his son was worried because his law practice was not doing well.
Nathan Desai, 46, owned several guns to protect himself against his clients, some of whom were ‘funny people and criminally minded people, said his father.
