The Indian Air Force has launched a sequel to its award-winning 3D mobile air combat game "Guardians of the Skies" on the android, iOS and Windows mobile app stores. The game puts players into a simulated world where they are IAF pilots and battle with a fictitious country called Zaruzia. IAF chief Arup Raha said they launched the games to attract talented youth to join the armed forces, particularly the Air Force, that is a challenging profession. The first phase of the game was released in July and received an enthusiastic response from gamers age 15 to 25. The game was praised for its realistic graphics and won the 'Best India Game' award from Microsoft, proving its popularity among gamers, with over a million downloads to date. The IAF hopes the phase two release will propel the game to greater stature and achieve downloads in excess of five million by end 2015.
