The Mumbai police have arrested Bhola Jaiswal, 28, who in May, drove two burglars hidden in the trunk of the car he drives for his employer, into the second floor parking lot of an apartment building in Khar and helped them steal valuables worth Rs.28 lakhs from a fifth floor locked apartment.

When residents on the floor below heard sounds of the robbers breaking in they called the security guard. Jaiswal who was at the time chatting with the guard to distract him, then called the burglars and alerted them. They used the staircase to run down and made a hasty getaway.

Jaiswal and an accomplice have been arrested, while the burglars, who have criminal records are on the run.

People in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, were moved to demonstrate for hours after two police constables attacked three persons, including two minors outside a bar and beat them with coshes, causing the death of Kalyan Salve, 17.

Kalyan along with his cousin Krishna Salve, 15, and friend Shyam Yadav, 24, were attacked at 10.30 pm by two beat marshals who allegedly stepped out the Natraj Bar and attacked them. After Kalyan collapsed the constables fled the scene. Kalyan was finally taken to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

When his family went to the police station, the officers there refused to accept their complaint and the news quickly spread, resulting in shopkeepers downing their shutters in protest and a crowd of local politicians, and locals also gathered at the hospital and did not allow the body to be taken away for the post-mortem.

Ten hours into the standoff, police finally registered a case of murder against the two constables.

Kaiser Fatima Inayat 45, had a fake ID card of deputy commissioner of police Aswati Dorje, and used it to move freely within the airport premises, where she would extort money from pilgrims on their way to Haj. She had an accomplice from the Central Reserve Police Force, Head Constable Vijay Mahadev Kamble.

Airport police arrested Inayat at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport along with Kamble, who was deputed at the airport for a year and helped her forge the ID. Both have been arrested on charges of forgery and impersonation.

At Inayat's residence officials found other forged IDs and membership cards. She is known as a social worker in the area where she lives and the Haj Committee in Mumbai has been hiring her as a volunteer to help pilgrims on their way to Haj.

A judge of the Jammu and Kashmir high court ruled that according to Shariah law and Quranic injunctions a Muslim husband does not have unrestricted or unqualified power to pronounce 'Talaaq' a word that says that a man is pronouncing divorce from his spouse.

The court explained the fundamental sources of Shariah law to explain the concept of marriage in Islam and the rights of parties to marriage contracts and the manner the contract may be dissolved, and found that in Islam divorce by the husband is restricted to three forms that are clearly specified.

According to Playboy (PB) Lifestyle chief Sanjay Gupta, India's first Playboy club will open by mid December in north Goa's Candolim beach, a first beach location for Playboy globally.

PB Lifestyle has the rights to the Playboy brand and plans to set up 8 Playboy Clubs over three years and 120 clubs, bars and cafes in 10 years.

In India however the international Playboy bunnies' costume of a corset and fluffy rabbit tail and ears will be adapted to suit India's conservative values and sensibilities.

India's Playboy bunnies' outfits will be revealed at the launch of the club.
