India and Fiji sign 3 MoUs

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Fiji, he and Fiji Prime Minister Voreque Bainimarama signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) that included the exchange of land for a new chancery building in Delhi, diplomatic exchanges that would allow Fiji's diplomats to train at the Indian government's Foreign Services Institute and project financing for an electricity co-generation plant funded through the Exim Bank of India. Fiji PM Bainimarama said this is only the beginning, and they have 15 more agreements in the works on agriculture, trade, health water, sports and other areas of development. Fiji is pleased that their relationship with India is growing and they are proud to have India as a partner in Fiji's future, he said.
