According to the China based Huron Report's 2015 rich list, for the first time India has more billionaires than any other country outside the US and China. The report said India's richest had benefited from an upsurge in the value of the stock market, and a decline in wealth among Russians and Britons nudged India into the top three for the first time in the history of rankings. There are now 97 Indian billionaires compared to 93 Russian billionaires. The report described 5 percent of India's billionaires as 'self-made but with the help of their parents'; 9 percent 'inherited a small business and grew it substantially'. By contrast in China 61 percent of billionaires were 'self-made' without any financial support from their families.
