India / UAE plan $75 billion fund for India investments

INVnmsmThe United Arab Emirates and India plan to create a $75 billion fund to invest in Indian infrastructure, and support the expansion of India’s network of railways, ports, roads, airports and industrial corridors. The two countries also aim to increase trade by 60 percent in the next 5 years. The UAE is already India’s third-largest trade partner and home to over 2.5 million Indians.

Earlier on his visit to the UAE Prime Minister Narendra Modi told investors that India needs $1 trillion in investments with opportunities in interesting sectors such as real estate, energy and tourism.
