India wins Gold at Under-16 Chess Olympiad

India overcame challenging competition to win the gold and claim first place in the ten round Under-16 Chess Olympiad held at the University of Gyor in Hungary. Russia took second place and Iran bagged the third spot. International Master Arvind Chithambaram got second place while IM Murali Karthikeyan finished in fourth place. International Master Diptayan Ghosh, Kumaran Balaji and GK Monisha were the other members on the team.
