Indian woman paints for Van Gogh film

suchimuleyAn Indian painted animation on Van Gogh film ‘Loving Vincent’.

Suchi Muley, 34, who is from Bhopal is one of 100 Van Gogh impressionist masters, who are painting 62,000 frames in oils, from footage projected atop their desks, to uncover the story of the painter’s death.

Suchi Muley was selected after rigorous tests at the Gdansk studios in June. She said each artist brings their own style to the table but they have been trained in the Van Gogh genre.

Suchi grew up in Bhopal when she studied at St Theresa School and later trained as a computer programmer. While she dabbled in software and landed a good job in Bengaluru, she craved for oils and canvas. She later quit her job and went on a world tour, and spent time in prominent studios in San Francisco and Paris. He big luck came when she was in Seattle and she came across the ‘Loving Vincent’ trailer on Facebook. She finally received an email and was invited to Poland for a test.

After 2 weeks of painting and learning techniques she was selected to be a painter and animator for the movie.
