Jobless Indians starving in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait

SA&KuwaitExternal Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj announced that a number of Indians have been made jobless in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh is to go to Saudi Arabia to sort out the issue.

The Minister said the workers wages have not been paid by factories that have closed down. She said she was told that over 800 jobless Indians have been starving for days in Jeddah, and the Indian Embassy there has been asked to provide food for them in Jeddah.

Minister Swaraj said the situation in Kuwait is manageable, but in Saudi Arabia it is much worse.
