A court in Kerala has sentenced millionaire Mohammed Nisham to life in prison for killing a security guard K Chandrabose last year, by mowing him down with his luxury SUV just because he was allegedly being very slow at opening the gates one night when Nisham was returning home.
Chandrabose died in hospital.
Nisham has been in custody near his home town of Thrissur, since his February arrest after the guard’s death.
Nisham has a thriving tobacco and real estate business in Kerala. He has faced police charges several times, including once for allowing his 9-year-old son to drive a Ferrari on a public road. He was granted bail in some cases and paid fines for others.
