A man age 28, who was allegedly caught red-handed stealing a cellphone by some junior doctors of the state-run NRS Medical College and Hospital, was dragged to the common room where he was beaten and bobbitised and died from the injuries. After preliminary investigations it was revealed the youth was assaulted. Police found him tied up in the corridor of the building. According to prima facie investigations, they have started a murder case suo motu. Dr Sashi Panja, minister for women and child welfare and president of the governing body of the college said a case has been registered and police are investing the incident. Police have detained two junior doctors and two members of the hostel canteen staff.
