Missing NRI’s family announces reward of Rs.24 lakhs

NRIssueRsinghGian Power, the son of UK businessman Ranjit Singh who has been missing since May 8, has announced a reward of 25,000 pounds for information leading to his father’s safe return.

Gian launched a campaign on social media to trace his father, and announced the reward urging people to inform the Midlands Police about his father Ranjit, a resident of Wolverhampton who had gone to India on May 7 and was to return by May 14, but his family lost all contact with him.

Ranjit Singh’s brother Amrik Singh also filed a complaint of kidnapping against Ranjit’s friend Baldev Singh also an NRI. The family said Baldev received Ranjit in India and returned to the UK the next day saying he had left him in Chandigarh and did not know anything more.

In his police complaint Amrik alleged that Baldev arranged the kidnapping of his brother. Thus far Punjab police have raided various places but have failed to trace Ranjit Singh.
