Muslims burn effigy of Modi government in Ludhiana

Members of the Muslim community in Ludhiana, burned an effigy of the Modi government and criticised External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, for granting visas to Ahmediya sect members to attend a function in Gurdaspur district, but denying visas to the masses in Pakistan with roots in India who wish to visit their native places. The protesters held placards saying "Down with Central Government". Addressing the gathering at Jamia Mosque, Maulana Habib-ur-Rehman said on the one hand the government wants to make an anti-conversion law, but on the other hand they allow Ahmedia sect members to conduct religious programmes in Gurdaspur, the sacred place of Ahmediyas.
