Neera Tanden president of the Center for American Progress Action Fund, is leading Hillary Clinton’s campaign and slammed Donald Trumps policies saying they pose threats to the economic future of women and families.
Tanden said “Make no mistake – Trump’s divisive comments about women’s health are a threat to women’s dignity and economic security, and he is now trying to cover the bald spots in his economic plan, but women can see right through his comb over!”.
Tanden was joined by Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland and both said the trillions in tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires and corporations in Trump’s plan will be an enormous boon for the top 1 percent of earners, that will be made at the expense of working families, seniors and the health of the economy.
Trump’s plan would give $3 trillion over 10 years, or more than 35 percent of its tax breaks to millionaires, which is enough money to ensure Medicare and Social Security’s solvency for the next 75 years, repair infrastructure, or raise every person living in poverty up to the poverty line.
Tanden and Mikulski said Trump still opposes raising the minimum wage because he believes ‘wages are too high’. and Mikulski said they are with Hillary because she is the only candidate who will make fighting for women and families her priority.
