NRI appointed to key post in Texas university

INGENUakumarINSRI Padma Shri awardee Ashok Mago has been appointed as a member of the Board of Regents of the University of North Texas.

Dallas based Mago was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott for a 6-year term. He is the founding chairman of the Greater Dallas Indo American Chamber, now known as the US-INDIA Chamber, and board member of the Primary Care Clinic of North Texas, and advisory board member of BBVA Compass Bank in Dallas.

Mago received a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University, India, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.

He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2014.
