Raminder Singh Ranger aka Rami Ranger chairman of Sun Mark Ltd was among those on the Queen’s New Year’s honours list when he was awarded the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE).
Ranger founded his first enterprise with just 2 pounds and a typewriter in 1987, and now he oversees Sun Mark and its sister firm Sea Air and Land Forwarding Ltd, a 160 million pound a year FMCG.
Ranger is also chairman of he British-Sikh Association and patron of Prince Charles’ charity the Prince’s Trust, and the Gandhi Statue Memorial Trust. He also donated 250,000 pounds to the London Southbank University to help graduates engage in business.
Rami Ranger has earlier won the Queen’s Enterprise awards for five consecutive years.
