India’s most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim is reported to be suffering from gangrene that is at such an advanced stage that the man, said to be the mastermind behind the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, is not expected to be fully cured.
Doctors say the disease is so advanced that the don is immobile from the gangrene that was caused by loss of effective blood supply due to high BP and diabetes. They say they will soon have no option but to amputate his legs, that reports say are already dead.
Ibrahim is receiving treatment at his Clifton neighbourhood residence and at Liaquat National Hospital and Combined Military Hospital, both in Karachi. Reports also say he will not be moved out of Karachi and army doctors will lead the treatment.
