NRI Jason Sangha is Australian NSW’s youngest cricketer

ingenjASONJason Sangha, 16, is the youngest player ever to be contracted by Australia’s most decorated team, New South Wales. The teenager scored heavily in the Under-19 National Championships, then scored a century on debut for the Australian U-19 team against Pakistan in January this year.

Also on the NSW list for the 2016-17 season is 18-year-old spinner Arjun Nair who honed his style of spin by watching clips of India off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and West Indian Sunil Narine on YouTube.

Just days earlier it was announced that Indian origin wrestler Vinod Kumar Dahiya, will represent Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He hails from Khanda village in Haryana and became an Australian citizen last year. Now settled in Victoria, Dahiya has also won national championships and other medals at the Australia Cup and Canberra Cup.
