NRI Pharmacist suspended after felony convictions in US

NRICRIpharThe Michigan department of licensing has suspended the license of Hiren Dasharathbhai Patel to practice as a pharmacist after he was convicted of health care fraud and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

He has also been sentenced to probation for 6 months and ordered to pay $2000,200 in restitution and fees.

The public health code provides mandatory summary suspension of a health professionals license upon the conviction of a felony, a misdemeanour punishable by imprisonment, or a misdemeanour involving the illegal delivery, possession or use of a controlled substance.
