NRI shot by robber who called him ISIS terrorist

INTERSshotIn what is suspected to be a hate-related incident, an Indian origin store clerk was shot in the face and called an ISIS terrorist as he struggled with an unidentified man who was trying to rob the store. He sustained injuries and was released from hospital a few days later.

The clerk worked at a store in Michigan owned by Sikh American businessman Inderjit Singh whose daughter Gurleen Kaur said the robber demanded money from the worker then led him to a back room where he put the barrel of a long gun into the worker’s mouth.

The police praised the clerk for responding bravely to the nasty event. The robber left with an undisclosed sum of money.
