NRI teenager launches 2nd book at Book Fair in UAE

Ninth grader Rebecca Mary John, 14, who was the youngest author to launch a book at the Sharjah International Book Fair 2013 has now launched her second book 'Musings of a Teenager' at the Sharjah Book Fair. Rebecca continues to use poetry to convey ideas, and events that have taken place in her life. Currently a student at The Indian High School in Dubai, Rebecca started writing at the age of eight. She plans to write a series of books under the titles The Musings of a Young Lady and The Musings of a Wife. She aims to pursue a bachelors degree in science and complete both her masters and doctorate degrees. She wants to follow in the footsteps of her mother who is an Assistant Professor in Manipal University, Dubai. Rebecca is also the winner of the Shaikh Hamdan Award for Distinguished Academic performance 2014, an award that recognises a student's all-round abilities over a 3 year assessment period.
