NRIs felicitate philanthropist in Saudi Arabia

A large contingent of the Indian community attended a program organised in Riyadh to felicitate educationist and social worker Nadeem Tarim, who was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in India. Later another event was organised in his honour by the Delhi Public School. Tarun has lived in the Kingdom for over three decades and runs a number of education institutions in the Kingdom and India. He was hailed for his philanthropy back home that includes his donation for a hostel for some 500 boys at the AMU campus. Tarin started his career as an engineering graduate to become the general manager of the Riyadh based Saudi L-Terais Company. He has held several leadership roles in schools and on boards. Speaking on the occasions, Tarin highlighted the importance of education for the well being of the community, saying only academic excellence can lead to the age of enlightenment and empowerment.
