NRIs to digitise 4000 schools in Andhra Pradesh

Jayaram-KomatiAccording to Jayaram Komati, the son of a former Congress leader, who moved to the US 35 years ago and is now the Special representative of the Andhra Pradesh Government in North America, says they are intending to replicate the Janmabhoomi programme in the US to enable migrant Telugu families to support their motherland.

With the Janmabhoomi programme, they intend to take up a project that envisages the digitisation of 4000 schools in rural Andhra Pradesh. With this in mind Mr Jayaram is interacting with Telugu NRIs and motivating them to take part in the development activities planned in Andhra Pradesh, and the development of the new capital, Amaravati.

Mr Jayaram who was recently in the state for a whirlwind tour and met Collectors of various districts, and officials of the Education department, also said the NRIs are very excited and very willing to support the Government.
