PM Modi says NRIs must be part of India's development

A day after ending a visit to Myanmar, Australia and Fiji, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated in a blog, that the Indian diaspora must be a part of India's development, and he wants to create an environment where India's diaspora also feel they can contribute. He urged NRIs to keep sharing their views and thoughts with the Indian government. On a personal note Modi said, he was touched by the affection he was shown by the Indian community abroad. During his 3-nation visit that lasted 10 days, Modi announced visa-on-arrival facilities, saying it is his aim to make the diaspora an integral part of the plan and his government has been channelising their efforts in this regard.
