Students and teachers booked for cheating in UP exams

MERAexamcheatAt several centres in Mathura, during the Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations for Grades X and XII, students were seen blatantly cheating, resulting in over 70 students and teachers being booked.

Following the reports of mass copying at the Rammadhav Inter-College, pictures of which went viral, the deputy district collector Rajesh Kumar visited the exam centre where he was attacked and his vehicle damaged as locals pelted him with stones.

Pictures and videos also showed friends and relatives of students brazenly scaling walls and passing cheat sheets through the windows at the exam centre. One local claimed that an organised network helps the students cheat in return for money.

Last year scores of students were expelled for cheating during the Intermediate Examinations in Vaishali, Bihar.
