Sydney crisis : 2 Indian hostages safe

To the great relief of their families in Guntur and Howrah, two Indians who were among the 17 hostages held by an armed man of Iranian origin Man Haron Monis at a cafe in Sydney, are safe. Vishwakant Ankit Reddy and Pushpendu Ghosh escaped safely. Reddy who is an Infosys employee in his mid 30s and hails from Howrah, has been working in Australia for seven years, and Ghosh is a native of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. Their relieved, jubilant parents are yet to speak to them. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj confirmed the safety of both Indians and said they were undergoing medical check-ups.
