Multinational Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been rated the world’s most powerful brand in Information Technology Services by global firm Brand Finance’s 2016 report that evaluated the world’s leading brands.
Assessed on qualities such as familiarity, loyalty, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation, TCS emerged as the IT industry’s most powerful brand with a score of 78.3 points, a AA+ rating.
In the report, across all industries, Disney was rated as the most powerful brand and Apple as most valuable brand for 2016.
TCS’ overall brand value increased from $2.34 billion in 2010 to $9.4 billion in 2016.
N Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD of TCS said customer centricity lies at the heart of the organisation and is a key driver for growth of the brand. Their 344,000 employees have been their best brand ambassadors and helped the company to be rated at the top of the industry.
