Teen NRI conducts medical camp with her allowance

NRINImahimaNRI student Mahima Dhanekula, 16, chose to use her pocket money for the good of people and went to India to conduct a free medical camp at Gudivada, near Vijayawada.

With the help of her family and the Gudivada Diagnostic Centre, Praja Vaidyasala, Automotive Design and DVS Charitable Trust, young Mahima  conducted her medical camp at IMA Hall in Gudivada, the native place of her grandparents.

Over 100 patients attended the camp and received free medications and diagnosis of ailments related to cardiology, neurology, gynaecology, family medicine, paediatrics and orthopedics.

Mahima’s father Tirumala Prasad said his daughter saved around $400 to conduct the medical camp.
