SHOWpratyushaTelevision actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who shot to fame for her role as Anandi in ‘Balika Vadhu’ committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her Mumbai residence. She was 24.

Her fiance actor-producer Rahul Raj found her at around 5 pm and informed her uncle. She was rushed to the Ambani Hospital in Andheri where doctors pronounced her dead and informed police.

According to reports Pratyusha was to marry Raj, but their relationship was reportedly volatile. At this stage the media and reports are scattered with all sorts of suppositions and stories that imply a somewhat hectic life of a beautiful young woman who sadly saw fit to end it all.
