Two NRI cousins sentenced for murder conspiracy in US

Patel-cousinsPratikkumar Patel and his cousin Kalpesh Patel of Gallatin city, Tennessee received a sentence of 15 years each for trying to arrange the murder of Krupaben Patel, the wife of Pratikkumar Patel.

The Patel cousins were found guilty in August of paying Chris Robinson of Rutherford country to have Pratik’s wife killed because they could not get a divorce.

Robinson instead cooperated with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation who set up a taped call with Pratikkumar Patel, and arrested the cousins.

The Patels who own a few convenience stores and gas stations in Sumner and Rutherford counties, will be eligible for parole after serving 30 percent of the sentence.
