UK Sikhs feed Syrian refugees

INITIAsikhsA group of big-hearted Sikhs are serving langar (Sikh community kitchen) in ISIS territory in Syria.

The Sikhs from the UK have collaborated with locals to provide fresh bread to nearly 14,000 refugees daily in the strife-torn region, for several months now.

Langar Aid, and extension of UK based NGO Khalsa Aid is located near the Kurdish city of Duhok, just 10 km from the Syrian border. Some European volunteers have joined Langar Aid.

On the other side of Syria, on the Lebanon-Syrian border the organisation is helping refugees by running a school for 5000 local children.
