UP CM embarrassed again as FIR filed against MLA's son

Akilesh Yadav's Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh was again embarrassed, after an FIR was filed against an MLA's son and 19 others for allegedly demanding extortion money from a doctor. Upon the complaint of doctor Sanjay Rastogi the FIR was lodged against Vikrant Akela, the son of SP MLA from Bachrawan Ram Lal Akela. Nineteen others were also involved in allegedly demanding lakhs of rupees as extortion money. According to recent data, during Akhilesh's rule some 23,569 incidents of crimes against women were recorded, of which 8440 are against State cops. A total of 1951 rape cases are also reported with around 10 rapes happening every day. The SP Government has also been facing flak recently for the deteriorating law and order situation in the State and inefficient Governance, not to mention unruly MLAs who keep exacerbating the State Government's woes.
