US NRI charged for possession of child pornography

crimchildpronoMukesh Khawas, 29, of Pittsburgh, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of producing and possessing material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Khawas was named in the 3-count indictment and faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on child pornography counts, and a fine of $765,000, along with a lifetime term of supervised release.

According to the indictment Khawas knowingly received images and produced visual depictions and images of the sexual exploitation of minors.

The indictment also alleges that the images found with him involved minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, some of whom had not yet attained 12 years of age.
