He read about the plight of Guttikoya tribals and residents in villages, so Dr Veeramalla Charanjith Reddy made the decision and established a hospital at Eturunagaram called Bannu Hospital, named after his mother, that has been inaugurated for the public.
The good doctor who now lives in New Hampshire said he has been working on the project for over two years and had targeted the area he would build the facility in.
His target area was villages in Warangal district where there are no hospitals to provide quality medical service to the locals.
The new hospital is an undertaking of the Bannu Arogyada Seva Society that Charanjit founded.
The ITDA project officer and the CRPF commander who attended the inaugural ceremony lauded the kind gesture of the NRI and said others should emulate him in serving the underprivileged.
