Vyapam Scam : 48 deaths later CM Shivraj orders CBI probe

gz2htbw4After 48 deaths, nationwide outrage and mounting Opposition pressure, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has finally recommended a CBI probe into the Vyapam scam and related deaths.

His change of stance did not end the controversy as MP home minister Gaur said ‘Shivraj never consulted him on the Vyapam cases’.

This apart the local GVSM Medical College is also on the radar for the alleged involvements of its students in the scam, and 8 of its students are missing from the campus. According to the administration the students are still in jails or have been released on bail.

The death of 19-year-old Namrata Darnor who was an accused in the scam and was found dead, has been brought back into focus again after a TV journalist died recently after interviewing her father.
